The global pandemic proved how surprised we can be by unforeseen events. We don't know what the future holds, but one thing we know: the Park City Sunrise Rotary Club endures through thick and thin (thanks again, Scott Peppler). We are here to stay! Perhaps the clearest message I took to heart from the pandemic is how critical my network of friends is, and our Rotary club is at the top of John's and my list of friendships we know we can count on and love.

With that thought in mind, I created a list of personal goals for our new Rotary year, with the first one probably being most important:
• Reconnect with one another
• Hold at least 5 socials
• Collaborate with other Rotary clubs on a meaningful project
• Participate in an international service project
• Grow our club by 10%, or 10-12 members
• Update our bylaws

Reconnection is key to our success in service: the better we know and care about one another, the more effective we can be in service to others. Others can see our strength as a club as well as our love for one another; this rubs off! When we know each other well, we work together well as a team. The care we have for one another spreads into care for those we are serving. Everybody wins! As a result our club grows naturally.

Speaking of growth, remember one of our goals as laid out in Rotary International's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion statement: we want to reflect the community we serve, and we need to answer what that means for our club. As RI puts it: "We want people with differing perspectives and ideas who will help Rotary take action to create lasting change in communities around the world." Let's strive to be inclusive in new ways.

Thanks for all you do--
Stacy
