Park City Sunrise Rotary Club is accepting grant applications for their annual community grant program. The club considers requests based on criteria of need, scope of impact, and alignment with Rotary principles (see www.rotary.org for guiding principles). A typical donation from the club is between $250 and $1000. If your organization would like to apply for a grant from the Park City Sunrise Rotary Club, please visit http://www.parkcitysunriserotary.org and download a Local Program/Project Grant Request Form from the DOWNLOADS section in the lower right part of the home page. Completed requests may be emailed to info@parkcitysunriserotary.org or faxed to 435-214- 0306 by October 31, 2017 for consideration. The Park City Sunrise Rotary Grants Program is funded by several fundraising efforts that take place throughout the year, include the second annual SHOT SKI event, October 14th, on Main Street. Working in association with the Wasatch Brewery, beer lovers will line up from the top of Park City’s historic Main Street all the way to Heber Avenue and raise one long ski to take a “shot” of Wasatch Premium and to raise money for the Park City Sunrise Rotary Club. For more information regarding grant requests and guidelines, contact: Kim Kerr at info@parkcitysunriserotary.org or call 435-640-8684 |

Each year the Park City Rotary Club and the Park City Sunrise Rotary Club have a little friendly competition to see which club demonstrates the most generosity to our local radio station, KPCW, in their summer fund drive. Community members call KPCW during the drive and donate in the name of either "Park City Rotary" or "Park City Sunrise Rotary." The KPCW Rotary Challenge was once again "nailbitingly" close down to the last minute of the two hour fund drive. The Park City Sunrise club won over Park City Rotary Club by a sliver on quantity of calls and dollars raised from community members. The real winner was KPCW who will receive a total amount raised by both clubs of about $10,000!
Well done Rotarians!

Every year, the Park City Sunrise Rotary Club hosts the annual 4th of July BBQ in City Park. After the parade, Parkites and visitors congregate on City Park for some good ole' pulled pork, burgers, and beverages accompanied by live music and good friends. This year was a big success in raising over $12,000 at the BBQ which in turn gets distributed out in the fall to our community grant recipients. The more you eat, the more grant love our community organizations receive. Thank you Parkites and visitors for making this fundraiser fun and successful!

Each year, our Sunrise Rotary Club members participate in the Dictionary Project, donating dictionaries to each third grade student in the area. The goal of this program is to assist all students in becoming good writers, active readers, creative thinkers, and resourceful learners by providing them with their own personal dictionary. The dictionaries are a gift to each student to use at school and at home for years to come. Here's some pics from the South Summit Elementary visit. |

The club needs your Help! One of the largest events of Park City’s summer season is the 4th of July celebration organized and run by the Park City Ambassadors, the volunteer arm of the Chamber/Visitor Bureau of Park City. The Sunrise Rotary Club has agreed once again this year to assist the Ambassadors by organizing and serving lunch to the community following the July 4th parade. Generally, the Rotary Club serves around 2,500 people and is a great fundraiser for the club! The menu consists of smoked pulled pork, hamburgers, bratwurst etc. We are now looking for one or more sponsors, that will be recognized, who can provide financial support (total of $5,000 needed) so that we can purchase needed food items for the event. All profits will be retained by our Rotary Club for local and international projects. If you are interested in sponsoring this event, please completed the Sponsorship Form in the Downloaded section of this web page and return it to Mike Luers at mluers@sbwrd.org. We need your help to secure sponsors for the event! Please call Mike (901-8891) with any and all questions and suggestions! Thank you for your help! |
